Well this week has been very tough. My son has ADHD and is challenged everyday in school. I meet with his teacher all the time, take him to tutoring, help with homework and whatever else I could do to help him. But when on Friday at the end of the first week of the new quarter I get 2 phone calls not 1 but 2 phone calls from two of his teachers telling me that he has not been turning in his homework all week long in either class I just about lost it. I don't know how to get through to him how important school is and that he need to but his effort into school now. He looks at me so lost. He was being bullied a couple of weeks ago and I don't know if it's still happening. I am so concerned and at a loss of what to do next.

You have to stay in constant communication about school every day it seems. I have watched my daughter question my granddaughter every day about what happens at school. Yesterday, she was sad because no one would plan with her on the playground.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to stay on top of everything that is happening at school. Bullying is something you want to constantly monitor, both with your son and the teacher.
Maybe he is just losing his homework after he does it, or forgets to turn it in. Can you find it in his book bag?
